But update notification is really a pain to eye in the WordPress dashboard so its better to disable update for that particular plugin. Here is the simple way to do it.

Disable update notification for a particular plugin

1. Log in your WordPress dashboard.

2. Navigate to Appearance > Editor.

3. Check for “Theme Functions” that is “functions.php” file in the right theme files menu.

4. Click to open Theme Functions file and paste the following code :

 Note : Change the red color part with your plugin directory and plugin name respectively. Example if you want to disable update for commentluv plugin then write commentluv/commentluv.php instead of that red part.
